I don’t eat fish at restaurants very often, but my Wife told me I was in a good area for seafood, so I chose the Fish Sudado (Sea Bass, actually). A good choice, it was delicious! The sauce was very tasty yet it did not overpower the fish.

Chose this place by chance as I don't know Del Mar well. We just had a beer and a couple of appetizers. To be honest the food was a bit weird and oily for my taste. The Peruvian beer was nice though...

I've never had Peruvian food, but HOLY MOLY!!! This was amazing!! I don't know how authentic the food is, but I can say it's stupid delicious!! Hubby reserved us a table for date night at the recommendation of other reviewers and it was a good thing. Place filled up fast. Thanks for making Date Night awesome!!!

Went to Coya last night for some dinner. Got the lomito saltado and the ceviche. The portions were small and They didn’t add the yuca to the lomito!! Ceviche was high on the acid scale, the lomito was high on the salt scale. Not enough attention to the cooking...I won’t be returning. Sadly... because I love Peruvian food.

Just wonderful. Food was exquisite - prices decent. There was delicious "bottomless" sangria. Service was very nice - low-key but attentive. Environment is relaxed. Nice little finishing touches - for e.g. the bill is tucked in a book. We will definitely be coming back.

Quaint adorable place. Limited seating. Reservations recommended. Food was AMAZING. (Follow your nose-and yes it tastes as good as it smells!). Wait staff was SUPER helpful (our first time having Peruvian food) and explained everything.

On a hot muggy afternoon like today, all you need is a slushy cold beer or two and some of the delicious ceviche on the terrace. Before you know it, you're half way around globe!Awesome food served with a smile.

A taste of Peruvian 😊 lomo saltado and conchitas (with Parmesan) were delicious. Ceviche was, unfortunately, a little fishy, kinda disappointed.

Absolutely disgusting! Horrible overpriced food! Used to be a good restaurant with good food before the recent ownership change!Don’t waste your time or money... go somewhere else!!

First time here and everything we ordered was delicious. The yellowtail sudado had a welcoming kick of flavor, the squid ink rissotto was to die for and the lomito saltado was just delicious. I also enjoyed the purple corn drink

Did they change owners? We had the scallops with cheese, yucca fries, ceviche, and the fried rice. All were very bland (except the scallops, which were too salty). Pretty disappointed as the other reviews seemed to be really good.

GREAT TASTING FOOD ! My wife and I rode our bikes to Del Mar today so we could have lunch here. A friendly server named Rodrigo looked after us with glasses of water as soon as we sat at our table. We ordered 2 hot lattes, a Pork Chicharron Sandwich and a Kale Empanada. The latin music playing in the background enhanced the fun atmosphere here on a busy Mother's Day. Our lunch order came out in very fast time and we split it down the middle. Our lattes tasted okay... nothing to rave about but the Pork Chicharron Sandwich and the Kale Empanada tasted really good. The new co-owners Maria & Piotr dropped by our table to have a chat and we wished them continued success. This Peruvian eatery is always one of our favorites in Del Mar.

They're known for their seafood and ceviche but the spinach quinoa salad, add pork, is our go-to. Just had the Quatro Leche dessert tonight and it was delicious as well - sponge cake soaked in sweet coconut flavored milk with strawberries on top. Good for sharing.

Fresh ingredients and lovely sauces win you over this nice quaint restaurant. The classic cevice was excellent very citrusy which I love and a balance hot kick to it. The portions are big and the price is very reasonable. The service was great too.

Everything was delicious! This place is great for a date or to have lunch with a friend. They bring you canchita (toasted maize) while you browse the menu. We had the fish ceviche with choclo (maize), canchita, and yams. I had mine with avocado and without aji (chile). My husband had it with palmitos, they were both really good. My drink was a sangria with red wine and blue corn. I forgot to take a picture of the alfajor we got for dessert, but the dulce de leche it was made with was glorious. The service was outstanding as well and the price very reasonable considering the quality of the food.

The hubby and I went on a spontaneous dinner date without reservations and we got seated in the back but we were glad we did. The first picture is the patio all to ourselves. We ordered the Octopus appetizer-very good. We had their homemade Sangria -delicious. Dinner was Steak (I dont remember the cut) and Lobster Ravioli- amazing. The service was great. It's a small place so a large party would definitely need reservations. The location is really nice as well.

Waiter was great. I got the filet mignon, asked for medium rare. Got well done. It was a bit too salty too, so couldn't taste much of any beef flavor left. The ambiance is nice so good place to do appetizer and drinks, but I wouldn't come back again for the food.

Wow! Did not expect such an incredible dinner! This cute cottage restaurant is Del Mar’s hidden gem. Very generous portions. A warm, inviting ambience. Started off with the Causa (shrimp and potato tower) and then had the Surf and Turf. Both were delicious. Also their braised octopus is highly recommended! Will definitely be back!

What a perfect hidden gem right on the strip. Live music on Tuesdays and amazingly fresh seafood with pure Peruvian cuisine that should not be missed. Parihuela soup is a must. If you've got time, be sure to get to know the staff and menu!

I wish I could say great things about the food, but I honestly wasn’t left wanting to go back to give it another try. I love Peruvian food, as a Colombian myself, it’s one of my favorite foods to eat, so I decided to get some birthday dinner takeout. Big mistake. Ordered the “seafood” chaufa (shrimp, prawns, mussels, scallops, calamari as listed on the menu photo), granted I asked for no mussels to be substituted with shrimp, but shrimp and prawns were the only seafood in the little bit of rice that we were given. Not to mention, mushy shrimp which eventually ended up making my boyfriend and I sick. I should’ve went with the safe choice and got the lomo saltado, although now looking back, I don’t know if that would’ve been any different. Really nice people, but not worth the visit.
